The home of President Jon Wefald and his family is one of few campus buildings where permission is necessary to enter. Wefald and his wife Ruth Ann have lived on K-State's campus in the President's house for 21 years.

Even though 267 miles separate the remote town of Baldwin City from the destroyed town of Greensburg, ties to the southwestern Kansas town aren't so distant. After receiving the news that her hometown had taken a direct tornado hit, Baker University sophomore Kaley McKee immediately drove to Greensburg on the night of May 4.

Eric Cordell, junior business administration major, has been elected as student body president for the 2008-2009 academic school year.

This is Cordell's second year running for OU student body president. During the 07-08 school year, Cordell ran against Teranee' Hutch and Shannon Fisher for the student body president position but lost to Hutch.

In 1958, when Margaret Kornfield walked out of Wilson Field House as a graduate of Ottawa University, she had little idea of the path that life would take her down.

"I had no clue this would be the story but I really did believe my life would be interesting," Kornfield said.
